What You Will Learn

This fun and hands-on workshop will give you a thorough introduction to a variety of cupcake decorating techniques. Yen, our bubbly workshop tutor is a self-taught cake queen! Skills covered include:

- Piping skills & techniques with different piping tips

- Tips and tricks to decorate cupcakes professionally

- Cupcake and buttercream recipes

What You Will Make

Each participant will get to decorate four cupcakes, utilising a variety of different piping techniques. The cupcakes are baked prior to the workshop by Yen and we love her delicious recipe!

What You Get

4 pre-baked cupcakes (2 Vanilla, 2 Chocolate) that are designed and decorated by yourself a quick cupcake decorating guide a cupcake recipe, and a buttercream recipe

Refreshments are also provided.

Where?

All classes will be held at the famous Blender Studios located in The District, Docklands.

How to Find Us

We are located within the District Docklands complex, on level one. Once you get off the tram at The District (Tram Stop: Waterfront City – Stop D11), walk though the shopping complex across the road and take the escalator next to ‘Lousy Ink’ and you will see our studio on the right. The studio is above the store ‘Novo Shoes’. Give us a call at anytime if you have trouble locating us.

Who teaches the workshop?

Yen Ho is a passionate and self-taught baker and cake decorator. She runs a Melbourne based cake studio specialising in buttercream cakes and desserts. Yen’s designs are inspired by her love of vibrant colours and floral patterns and she loves bringing colourful & joyful moments with her baked goods to all kinds of celebrations. Yen also loves teaching. She is looking forward to share her secrets and tricks in the cupcake decorating workshop at The Blender Studios!
